The Sky, Chicago, 1998-2022   1998
Iris print mounted to Plexiglas.
38" x 33". Ed. 5 + 2 APs.

In this project, the sky is represented over time as a repeating sequence of small squares from light blue to black to blue again, spanning day and night and spanning the seasons. This Op Art calendar begins on Jan. 1, 1998 in the upper left-hand corner and ends 25 years later with Jan. 13, 2022 in the lower right-hand corner.  The pattern is completely the result of a 3d simulation of the Earth orbiting the Sun for 25 years.
